Visiting the Lower Ninth Ward
Palm Trees on Canal St. during GustavThought I would post some of the pictures I took during our trip to New Orleans to cover Hurricane Gustav. If you watched any of the coverage you saw the water topping over the levees on the Industrial Canal. We went out there at night and then the next morning, and that one picture is from the drawbridge over the canal. We also went down to the Lower Ninth Ward, which is where the worst flooding took place during Katrina. During Katrina, the same levees on the Industrial Canal failed, but this time they held.
